The transformative learning trajectory for agriculture and food system actors has several modalities depending on the maturity profile of the participants. Both the content of the program and the advisory through incubation program are unique to each entity. Throughout this trajectory domain experts provide their know-how for participants to upscale their management capabilities in their agriculture and food initiatives. A previous workshop is required in the embryo phase to create a tailor fit roadmap which will enable to study all possible scenarios.

Program ​Objectives

  • Know-how of system thinking approaches in agriculture and food system cycles and gaining expertise with problem solving methods to navigate a changing environment.

  • Clarity on identifying and exploring innovative but environmentally sensitive solutions to address challenges, promoting knowledge sharing and collective action using agile and lean methods.

  • Learning about climate-smart agriculture, adaptive practices, risk management, and alternative farming approaches ensuring the sustainability and viability of agriculture and food systems.

  • System thinker fundamentals to adopt and promote environment oriented management practices in their respective roles within the system.

  • Sensitivity for dynamics in organisational change through collaborative play and learn how to decipher the competences of leaders and change agents in a local and global context.

  • Comprehension of the complexities and ambiguities in strategic and cultural change in organisations and the daily transformation processes in which leaders, managers and change agents are involved.

  • Familiarity with different change strategies and the art of choosing which change strategy is suitable for which situation.

  • Deep understanding of the interconnected nature of the agriculture and food system learning about the various actors involved, including farmers, producers, distributors, consumers, policymakers and the environment.
